The Golden Winged Skimmer has wings that often have bands or spots, brightly
colored bodies with a shorter wingspan
and a larval habitat of ponds, creeks, and coastal plains.
Some dragonflies that are related to the Family: Libellulidae
species includes males and females of different colors. Often the male does
not attain full color until a few days after emergence. Squat naiads inhabit
shallower and warmer waters than and tend to be more active, maturing more
rapidly, than naiads of other families. |
